03 Jun 2010: Secondary fuel can be a inhomogeneous sample, containing all types of polymers, paper, wood and small amounts of metal. Recycled wood or parts of automobile tyres might also be used as secondary fuel. This application note describes a method of sample preparation for secondary fuel analysis in cement plants.

Pesticides in Food: Tomatoes
09 Nov 2009: Often the sought after substances when testing for pesticides are temperature sensitive. This application note presents the Mortar-Mill, a grinding bowl completely made of stainless steel. This bowl can be cooled down with liquid nitrogen and during the comminution liquid nitrogen may also be added. Therefore an absolutely cryogenic comminution in liquid nitrogen is possible.
